Rismi is 18 Months Old !

             I have a difficult time believing our precious Rismi is 18 months old. How quickly the time goes when you are chasing around an adorable toddler! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this age even though Rismi can definitely wear me out. Rismi is very busy, very curious, and very fun to be around. I continue to feel so blessed that I am her mommy and that I get to be a part of all of her precious moments.

       Rismi had another great doctor's report! She is now 33 inches tall (50-75%) and weighs 12Kg (75-85%).  Rismi loves her books! The first thing on her agenda each morning is to sit down by her bookshelf and look at her books. It is so cute and I really enjoy the quiet time for me to fully wake up. Her favorite books are  "Winnie the Pooh Opposites", "Lullaby, Lullaby Little One", and "No Matter What" (elephant book).

          Rismi loves to run, be chased (especially by Daddy), play outside, and climb on anything and everything. Her favorite toys are her balls, push toys, toy rake, and my broom. She also loves phones but is no longer allowed to play with them after she called 100 (nice, huh?).

       Rismi is still a pretty good eater but she definitely has her picky toddler moments. She is currently on strike from apple, carrots, and potatoes. Her favorite food is watermelon and Banana and she looks so darn cute eating it!

        I find it extremely difficult to get good pictures of Rismi these days as she is so active. If she is looking at me while I have the camera, it is normally because she is running towards me at lightning speed trying to apprehend the camera from me! I get a lot of blurry shots but I guess that is to be expected at this age!

 Rismi turns 15 months old today! This is by far the most fun stage that we have experienced with her so far. Here are some of our favorite things that she does...

• She walks EVERYWHERE! She does not want to be held for very long and definitely does not want to just sit and be peaceful. She is a mobile maniac!
• She thinks she can run...(very scary time for me and Shafi)
• She loves to dance...when she hears music she will pump her legs while standing up like she is bouncing with the rhythym and she even does a little head banging.
• She is a climber...she loves to climb the stairs and tables

• She loves to mimic every noise we make
• Her vocabulary is growing (she can say no, Attha, Amma, bow bow, burpie, poopie, baby, bye bye, hi, fish, juice, shoes...and lots of noises!)
• She blows kisses when you say bye bye (even makes the noise of a kiss) and has recently been giving kisses on demand 
• She knows how to find her body parts (head, eye, ear, nose, mouth and belly)
• She is a animal lover, especially dogs and cats
• When she sees a dog she says woof  woof ....
• She loves to eat all sorts of fruits and yogurt!
• She will let us know when she doesn't want something by shaking her head and saying no
• She throws tantrums when we say "no"

 Hip Hip Hooray!!! Today is Rismi's 1st birthday !!!  

                             
                                        A Year is gone by, 
                                        How time has flown,
                                        I can't believe
                                        How Rismi is grown!
                                        She is such a joy
                                        And so much fun,
                                        Oh my God!
                                        Rismi is Turning One!

       First Birthday is of course an important event in her life and something special for the Parents too .. But Rismi is still not old enough to appreciate all the expenses, decorations, food, party favors and hard work that we put into it .

      And also the commotion of a lot of  guests can cause the one-year old Rismi to become Cranky and she may be fearful of Strangers. So we invited a very few special friends to celebrate Rismi's 1st birthday with a traditional Tea party cum Dinner . Home is the place where Rismi will feel more secure . So we decorated home with solid brightly colored balloons, streamers, flowers etc ...

     Today Friday. Yeah, you are correct... Its a Weekday tooo..  So we planned to have a cake cut at 7.30 in the evening as all have to return from work . One by one, one by one .. finally all friends have arrived.. Yeah... , Now.... Now..... What else ??   Its a party time ........... Hip Hip Hooray!!!    Hip Hip Hooray!!!  Today my little Princess's  B'day !!!   Hip Hip Hooray!!!

Visitors for Rismi

      We have had a fun week of visitors. On Thursday, January 22  Dhama and Swapna came over to visit Rismi.  I think Rismi was a little overwhelmed with smiling faces of them around her but thankfully she did well.  Here are few pictures.

    Rismi is usually bit scared to mingle with new people. According to her, ladies are bit safe :) Yeah!! She screams or cries a lot when she sees any man getting inside home.
