We are still here!

Oh my goodness...summer is passing us by quickly and I am so behind on blogging. We have had an amazing summer break. We have spent time together as a family, celebrated many special occasions, played with friends, been swimming as much as possible...this post has a few random pictures capturing a few things we did at the month of May :)

In the middle of May, we had the pleasure of meeting Rismi's grandparents family in Bangalore. Rismi and we had a wonderful and busy week in the summer.

We had a family outing in the summer with frineds and headed to Mysore for 2 days! We always love the zoo and it was Rismi's one of the favourite trip. We had been to Brindavan and went for a Boat drive in the Krishnarajasagar lake. It was very much fun and lovable trip.

She had 90 days of summer break, so she is full time occupied at home by playing games with Priya and doing some creative things when she is bored of routine games.

We had been to her Grandma's houses at Kumbakonam and Aduthurai for this summer. We had a very good time there and we took her to Exhibition also. She went on different drives which are helicopter drive, dinasour drive, Cup&Saucer drive...  She enjoyed a lot there.

Towards the end of our Summer Break, Shafi took 2 days off work so we could have some family time! We really enjoyed being together... We went out to breakfast, took Rismi to Marry Brown, She loved playing in the playing area, we grabbed some lunch and went to Rekha Kamat house.

Rismi and her first swim of this summer !!!

Once again I am a little behind on my blogging due to my work load! 

Its all about Swim fun !   Yep, Rismi loves the water and likes to visit the swim/pool .. Today Rismi had her first swim of this summer . She went to pool to swim with her dad :).    It was SO much fun! We got there at around 12'o clock and  stayed till 1.30 noon. There was hardly anyone (literally, No one ....) and it felt so great outside.

Rismi  got right into the water. She was fearless.. .jumped in the pool with a floaty ,and  trying to swim like a fish. She loves swimming with her floaty.  She jumped in the water holding shafi's hands.  Rismi played hard! She swam like mermaid...literally. As she needs assistance, Shafi was with her in the deep height of the pool  .

  There is a rule in the apartment is that "Cameras are strictly prohibited inside Swimming Pool Area " as there will not be any privacy for others.  As no one there at pool except security , I came home and got the camera and clicked my daalu's swimming moments. Last summer what we missed, got happened now :D .

She is pretty cute while swimming.  Towards the last 30 minutes , we have asked her to come out as it is getting late for lunch. But she kept on saying , Amma, 5 minutes!  Amma, 5 Minutes! . We felt, there is no end to it .  So, Shafi said, you play alone in baby pool , I'm leaving . To our surprise, She said, Ok for that too..

Though she got pretty worn out , she decided to just play in the baby pool. She was playing in the pool all alone till Shafi dressed up and about to go home. Finally she walked dry with few tears while I stayed behind!  But She had a real fun in Sun!

Summer Vacation Moments - 2011

          Rismi's Summer vacation started from April 1st . Her last day in Heritage Academy was 31st March 2011 and she distributed chocolates to her classmates and happily said Bye Bye to her friends [Parting is such  "Sweet Sorrow", We know & We all would have experienced !!!]. 


Ya, Vacation Started .. Jolly !!!

              Summer vacation is really a fun time for the kids as they'll  nearly get 2 months, which is free of school, Books, Home works, Early morning Alarms, Exams, Wake-up disturbances etc etc... and more over they visit to their relatives home, Meet their native friends , Getting many presents and all over the day Playing, Playing & Playing nothing else.... [ Its just reminding my childhood days :) ]. But fortunately/unfortunately , as we both are working, Rismi could not spend her summer vacation fully at her Granny's house.

               We had a plan for just 5 days  to Kumbakonam. The Mysore express was scheduled to depart from Majestic at 7.15 P.M  on 6th May. As Rismi is grown-up now, she did not trouble us much  like before . She had her dinner and expecting Kumbakonam in every Station and there's no symptoms of sleeping in her eyes. So we have told her, "You sleep now, When you wake-up, we will be in Kumbakonam" . She got convinced somehow and slept finally.

         Rismi woke up to the sound of the Tea-walas at 4'O clock , in trichy station itself. She asked , " Kumbakonam vanthuduchaa??? Shall we get down-nttu :) " . Her expectation finally come to an end, Ya ! We reached Kumbakonam at 6.30 AM.  She is so happy and jumping here and there in the station. We were there in Kumbakonam for 5 days, but not even a single day, we spent fully at home, Its full of travel to here and there.

           Rismi's favourite pet is Goat. She ties the goat in the front gate and feeds it with biscuits, chips, Guava Leaves and drumstick leaves . Everyday new, new goat .. She does not leave any goat which crosses our Gate :).  [Thank God !! The Goat owner did not say anything ;) ] . Whole day she plays with the Goat only when she is at Granny's House.

            We had been to my Mom's house for lunch which is in Aduthurai. Rismi's one of the favorite place. She can get anything and everything there . She loves to be in my Mom's home. My mom prepared Chicken Biryani and Kesari for Rismi . And she got many presents from her Mummymma. We had our lunch and went to meet my dad in his shop . There Rismi had 2 Cornetto Ice-cream nicely. I don't give Ice-cream to her usually. But due to Thathaa's Support, she had ice creams, chocolates and moreover she packed a lots of chocolates to Bangalore too.. Romba Chellam !!! She had a very nice time in Aduthurai.

             While returning back to Kumbakonam, we went to my Chinnamma's Home for a while. Rismi played nicely and spent good time with her maamas  .. She has many chottu chottu Maamas there  :) .

            Five days flew like an arrow. Finally we were all ready to back to Bangalore. We left home by 6'O clock in the evening and the train was scheduled to depart from Kumbakonam station at 6.25 P.M  on 11th May. We got  in to a train and as Rismi waved her hand slowly and said bye bye to her Grandparents , the train started to move.  [ I have noticed the bit of sadness in her eyes .. But no choice :( ]

I don't leave this home.. I wont come :(

             After having dinner , Rismi slept well in the train and the train arrived the Majestic Station early morning 5.30. As the luggage was more and heavy, Shafi booked a call Taxi when we left kumbakonam itself. We reached home at around 6.30 am and relaxed a bit . As it was a working day [Thursday] , me and Shafi got ready to office. Rismi was quite dull :( . Yeah,, of course, Homesick will be there for one or two days and we both are going to office leaving her at home . But can't help it . ALL is WELL !!!

Swimming Beauties !!!

As the summer vacation started, Rismi is all time free at home. She wanted to explore many new things. One among is Swimming. Yep, She wanted to go for a swimming class with her friends . Since she has cold , We don't want her to play in water at this age. But she kept on compelling us, we thought of allowing her weekly once for swimming.

As we have a Swimming pool inside our apartment, Rismi goes with Shafi for swimming on every Sunday for almost 2 hours. This Sunday her friend Sahana also joined her and Rismi got excited and she was so happy about it . Rismi insisting Shafi to go for swimming after having their breakfast. As it was cold outside, Shafi told her strictly that, we cant go till SUN rises and the water should get warm.  Rismi was little upset :( and she was quietly playing with Sahana at home.
 

How long do we need to wait ?



They both got ready in their swimming suit and we applied Sunscreen lotion all over their body. Finally they all went for swimming at around 11'o clock  to have some fun in the sun!. Rismi was very very happy to have some play time with her friend Sahana. She has no fear of the water... She loves to jump into the water and has no hesitations...
