Rismi's First Dance on Stage !!!

Heritage Academy celebrated its Annual Day on 12th March 2011 - Saturday at JSS Auditorium, Jayanagar.   We are informed , 10' O clock, the function will be started and parents will be allowed inside the auditorium by 10 AM and the Parents has to drop the kids at 9'O clock for the rehearsal. We reached the school in time and it was so colorful to watch the kids dressed-up for their dances.

We were waiting outside the auditorium with other parents and we wondered why people were rushing to go inside the auditorium once they started allowing inside . We were getting inside very relaxed , resulted in getting almost last row to sit :( . We were not aware of those tricks as like other parents , but learnt a lesson from that :) . [We should not see decency and all  ;)] . Otherwise we would have got a front seat and we could have watched Rismi's performance very clearly.
Seat Kedachuthaaaa Ammaa ???

Finally, you got seat to sit :)

Then the event started and they called each class one-by-one to the Ramp . It was Play school Kid's turn, and Rismi came to the stage with her classmates. Many of her classmates are not dancing  and crying all over the song as they were very tiny and new to this kind of environment. But Our madam came with a fair bit of confidence and looking around the stage while dancing. You can make it out while seeing the below dance clip.

Her class teacher was dancing in front of the stage to give the confidence to the kids as they are just 2 to 3 years old . Really it was very good to see the kids while dancing. It might be big project for the teacher to teach the dance steps for the tiny ones though there are very simple steps. Hats off to the Teachers .. Really a good Job.

One funny part is that, in between the dance, as part of the stage decoration, automatic bubblers started blowing the soap bubbles from the roof. All we know, soap bubbles always an attraction for kids [why not, for me tooo :)]. Instead of dancing, kids were started playing with the bubbles. Major flaw in stage decoration . They stopped the Bubble blower after that incident :)

Fancy Dress Day

Heritage Academy organized a Fashion Day on 26th January [Ya, Its on Republic day] at the school premises and asked the parents to get the Kid dressed as birds or animals or fruits or cartoon characters or some Role Plays such as Doctors, Villagers, Policeman etc.. and come.

We had decided not to participate initially since we didn't have any dress for her and we weren't interested in renting the dress.  Then our neighbour gave some pointer and we managed to get cute little butterfly dress and Rismi liked the same.

Here's the Butterfly
We reached the school in time and it was colourful to watch the kids dressed-up in their favourite animals/birds/fruits/fireman/former/Angel/Freedom Fighters and National Leaders.

Some of them are quite innovative and it was fun watching the same . Kid was dressed up as grape and they had used black baloon's to represent the same :) .  It was so pleasing to the eye .

Unfortunately, school management didn't permit to take the photos when the kids were on the Ramp and we sincerely obliged. We really missed the chance of clicking the kids in their best fashion attire.

Rismi with her best friend Sanvi
Then the event started and they called one-by-one to the Ramp. It was really fun watching the kids getting on-to the Ramp, speaking in the mike and getting off. As the kids are not old enough to be on the Ramp alone and express about the attire , Parent has to accompany the kid.

Butterfly is about to fly :)
It was an opportunity for us to see the kids personality, and how the tiny-ones react in the stage, etc. It was Rismi's turn and she walked in nicely with a fair bit of confidence. She first wished everyone as "Happy Republic Day !!!"  and She introduced herself as " I am a butterfly and my Colour is Red " in the  mike and it was really cute to listen.

She is bit shy also
And she sung and danced for one butterfly song with full shy :)  ...
" Butterfly, butterfly,   Why do you stay?
               Butterfly, butterfly,    Please fly away!
               Butterfly, butterfly,    Escape this place!
Butterfly, butterfly,    Fly! Fly, fly away!  "

She sings the song in the Mike
Though, her decibal level was 30% of her usual level, it was still better. Finally she collected the momento from the staff and completed her first walk in the ramp. Her friend's dad clicked some snaps when Rismi was on the Stage and we managed to get the same :)

Rismi swings in Joola at school's Play Ground

Such activities really gives new level of exposure and confidence to the kids. We waited for her friends to come on the ramp and cheered happily and We enjoyed every moment.

Saanvi, Anusha and Rismi
Then Rismi started playing in the Play Ground for sometime with her friends . She was so happy to be there with her friends. Moreover she introduced few of her classmets to us. These days, What an exposure to Kids at the age of 3 !!! Great :)

Rismi's First Sports Day

Heritage Academy [Rismi's School] celebrated its annual SPORTS DAY on 11th December 2010 at VET Ground, JP Nagar, Bangalore. It's Rismi's First-Ever Sports Day. Rismi dressed in School T-Shirt, Denim Pant and with Cap [Dress code for sports day]. We [Rismi , myself and shafi ] have reached the venue little late, and we thought we might have missed Rismi's Play Group Session. But Thank GOD !!! still the races were going on for Junior Kinder Garden kids. So we are bit relaxed that , it takes another half an hour to reach Play group kids. We settled in the place where they have been allotted the seats for Play group.

Dora, See my Tattoo!!!
They have neatly arranged the ground with some stalls such as food stalls, toys stalls, tattoo stalls etc. Rismi liked to put butterfly tattoo on her hand. There were so many races for the kids depending on their age. Sack race, Running Race, Relay Race, Lemon with spoon race, etc.. Rismi was showing great excitement towards the races and she was waiting for her turn to participate. Ya, finally her turn came !!!

We are instructed that,  Play Group Kids are small enough to participate in the races alone, parents has to accompany the children. I came forward to accompany Rismi [as Shafi had a neck sprain] . The rule of the race is, there are three points, the one is a Starting Point, next is Mid-point and the last is Ending point. In the starting point parent has to stand with the kids, and when they whistles parent has to carry the kids and run towards the mid-point. In the mid point they kept a balloon and the thread. Parent has to blow the balloon and tie it and after that they have to give it to the kid and kid should run towards the ending point.

Rismi came second in the race!!! They gave the medal and Perc chocolate to the winning kids . Rismi was so happy and interested to receive the medal.  Yeah !!!  Its Rismi's First Sports day, First Race and First Medal ...

Hooray!!! I won the Medal ...

Finally they have arranged a race for the Parents toooo.. For Guys, they had a Slow cycle race and for Ladies, Spoon with Lemon Race. Shafi didn't participate since, as I already said he had sprain . So I participated in the race and Lost it .. Ha Ha Ha !!!    " Winning is not everything but participation is...   ;)  "

Rismi shows her Medal to her frineds :)

Shafi is so proud to stand with Rismi !!!
