Religious Learning

As Rismi is growing up, I had a constant question of how to get her introduced to the religious practices, praying, etc..    Its a question of when to start, where to start, etc..  She typically watches us praying at home and she plays when we pray.. It was going on for few days..

Look at her Finger !!! She watches Shafi's Finger &  tries imitate it

And on one fine day, Rismi's grandma got her a prayer-mat when she returned from Hajj [Pilgrimage to Mecca]. Rismi got her FIRST praying kit from her grandma.. From that time on-wards she follows us and whenever we pray, she used to put her prayer-mat next to us, stand with us and started imitating us in prayers.

How nicely she is doing Sujud
While Prayer, we used to recite any verses of the Qur'an [Saying soorahs/Slogans from The Qur'an]. She doesn't know those soorahs. So she simply moves the lips just to make a low continuous - indistinct sound. That too she murmurs with full concentration and involvement. It will be so beautiful to watch , how she prays. Of course, whatever kid does, It will be cute rite !!!

She recites the soorahs

Now she memorized the Arabic alphabets and few Qur'an Soorahs orally . She started recognizing the Arabic alphabets slowly.  And also, it is very important that we teach her to make time to worship Allah.  When she grows up, we need to watch her and to encourage her to pray on time.

She worships Allah
Whenever I get time and good chance, I teach her Arabic and to encourage her to memorize Qur'an. Because the youngest years are our best chances to instill in them the need to memorize the Qur'an; and young children tend to have keen memorization abilities rite!!!. What do you say? :)
