Progress Report of PP-I

Summer Break !!! Yes, Rismi's Summer vacation started from tomorrow - March 16th. She has got 70 days of holidays and the school reopens on May 24th. I am not sure , How am I going to engage her. Since we both are working, she will be bored at home in the summer holidays. I have a plan of putting her in Summer classes and started hunting for the good one too.

Hi Jolly Jolly !! I have 70 days Holidays!!!

School Management told us to come and collect Rismi's PP- I Progress report on the last day of school. She got very good grade (A+) in all the activities and Rismi's class teacher Mrs. Padma gave a very good feedback about Rismi. She commented in the progress report as  "Rismi is the Cutest most adorable and independent darling of the class". We are very proud and happy to see this comment.

Have a look on my Progress Report :)

For each quarter, they have given the grade in each activity. In the first quarter, Rismi got A and B grade only as she was very new this kind of systems. But later, she picked up very fast and got A+ grade in second and third quarters.  Here is her report.

Parent Teacher Interaction - 2

We have got an invitation from the school on 2nd August that Parent Teacher Interaction meeting 2 is organized on August 6th and we should meet the kids respective class teacher (usually, it will be written in Rismi's organizer or we get mails via Yokibu) . So we planned to go for it to know about Rismi's academic activities and her schedule/syllabus for the second quarter .

We reached at 9.15am and collected the token from the reception . Our token number was 12 and the token number 6 was inside. So we were waiting outside the class room and had a nice chat with other parents and Rismi played with her classmates in the play area opposite to the waiting hall till our turn comes. Here are the photos.

We were waiting outside for more than one hour for our turn. Rismi got bored of toys & playing and got little restless. So to engage her, we gave Lays packet . She shared it with her classmate Richa . Usually kids do not share their toys/chocolates/anything with another kid by nature. But Rismi is not that way. She used to share her toys/chocolates with the other kids whom ever comes to our home. I love this habit of Rismi and we used encourage her whenever she does it.

Both enjoy the Lays:

Finally at around 11'o clock, our turn came and we [myself, Shafi & Rismi] went inside to meet  Mrs.Padma Rajendran , the class teacher of Rismi. She gave a very good report of Rismi and she personally had a excellent opinion on Rismi. On top of it,  She told "Rismi helps me a lot in the classroom". We wondered and asked the madam , what kind of help she does it for you?. We could not control ourselves to laugh for the Reply. Any Guess??? NO!!!! OK OK , let me reveal it.

Our cute little Leader !:

Or the Informer ???

Rismi seemed to have informed/notified to her class teacher, when some-one doesn't maintain silence, goes out of the queue by leaving other person's hand to board the bus, doesn't complete their food/snack in time...
Not sure whether she took the leader role on her own or performing informer role to put others in trouble.. My own guess is that, to gain her class-teachers love and attention, she is doing this additional task on her own..
She is too small to know that, other kids may curse her for this act :)

Rismi with her closest friend Sanjana:

Rismi and Sahana:

We had a look at Rismi's Class notes, Class works, other activity books and paintings. Really I am proud to be a mom as she did really a good job. Now she is able to write the English Letters with standing line, Sleeping line, and slanting lines , those are "L, T, E, F, H, I, X, Y, Z, A, M, K, V, W, M and N". We did see the numerals written by Rismi which are 1 to 7. We have got a good report about Rismi  from her class teacher. Rismi is very happy to be around in the school. She happily said Bye to her class teacher and we back home after that. Here are few snaps when Rismi walks down with her dad.

Still she keeps the Lays packet in hand:

Parent-Teacher Interaction-1

We have got a invitation from the school for a Parent Teacher Interaction for the class PP-I. The meeting is scheduled on Saturday, the 2nd July 2011 and the timing is 9 am to 12.30 pm . This is the first time we are meeting Rismiya's class teacher to know about her activities, schedule in the school campus.

I am ready.. Lets go ..

Our Family

We have got ready and had breakfast and left home by 8.45 am . We were waiting outside the class room for our turn after collected the token from the reception. Token number 2 was inside and our token number was 5. It was an opportunity for us to meet Rismi's classmates and their parents.

Mom and Me

Me and Mom :)
First Rismi introduced her classmate Abhigya and Rismi shared few chocolates with her . We parents discussed about their kids activities at home, how they get ready for school -whether they cry or not :), what they get in dabba for snacks time and when they go to sleep and get up from bed like that. I was chit chatting with other moms till my turn comes .

How long I have to wait ?

Finally we [myself, Shafi and Rismi] went inside and her class teacher Mrs.Padma showed Rismi's file. There were bunch of sheets, which has nicely colored trees, animals, fishes and few mathematical diagrams. It was so good and I could not believe, All done by Rismi.. wow .. Amazing.. She really did a nice job !!! We have got a good report about Rismi  from her class teacher. She told Rismi is very well behaved in Class and obeys her whatever she says. She mingles with everyone in the class and she never cried in the class room.

With my Mom!!!

With my sweet Daddy !!!
They have introduced Standing line and Sleeping line concept , and Rismi is trained in writing the alphabets L and T. And she showed the class work book, where Rismi had written nicely L and T. It was very cute to see as few of the straight lines are not perfectly straight. Bit curved at the end and shaky in between. 3 years back, Rismi was very cute and small and was sleeping beside me in the bed and crying now and then for Milk, I feel its just happened few weeks back. But I have a difficult time believing my cute Rismi is grown up so soon to write these alphabets. How fast the time flies !!!

Enna yen paarkureenga, photo-ku pose kudunga daddy !!!

Very good !! you have done it correctly what I said :)
At the same time, Sahana's parents also finished their interaction with her class teacher Mrs. Olympia. After getting good reports from their class teachers,  we have gone to Meenakshi Mall which is newly launched in Hulimavu near to Rismi's school. Kids had Finger chips and we had burger in McDonalds. Then we had been to KFC also to taste Chicken Pop-corn, and Broasted chicken. Rismi likes KFC Chicken a lot.

Me and sahana

We had very nice time together and Rismi played nicely with Sahana. We back home by 1.30 pm and Rismi is very much tired and slept immediately as soon as we reached home.
