We are still here!

Oh my goodness...summer is passing us by quickly and I am so behind on blogging. We have had an amazing summer break. We have spent time together as a family, celebrated many special occasions, played with friends, been swimming as much as possible...this post has a few random pictures capturing a few things we did at the month of May :)

In the middle of May, we had the pleasure of meeting Rismi's grandparents family in Bangalore. Rismi and we had a wonderful and busy week in the summer.

We had a family outing in the summer with frineds and headed to Mysore for 2 days! We always love the zoo and it was Rismi's one of the favourite trip. We had been to Brindavan and went for a Boat drive in the Krishnarajasagar lake. It was very much fun and lovable trip.

She had 90 days of summer break, so she is full time occupied at home by playing games with Priya and doing some creative things when she is bored of routine games.

We had been to her Grandma's houses at Kumbakonam and Aduthurai for this summer. We had a very good time there and we took her to Exhibition also. She went on different drives which are helicopter drive, dinasour drive, Cup&Saucer drive...  She enjoyed a lot there.

Towards the end of our Summer Break, Shafi took 2 days off work so we could have some family time! We really enjoyed being together... We went out to breakfast, took Rismi to Marry Brown, She loved playing in the playing area, we grabbed some lunch and went to Rekha Kamat house.

Mother's Day activities !!!

Today, Shafi woke up with Rismi,  so I could get a little extra sleep. Once I was awake , I got ready and rushed to office to finish off some work though its Sunday :(. I have not prepared anything as Shafi told me , You go ahead and finish your work, Let me take care of everything today.

After finishing my work, I was back to home at around 2'o clock with full hunger and I was feeling a desire to eat food. Shafi made me a super yummy lunch. He prepared sandwich for the breakfast, and did some shopping for the lunch preparation, took Rismi to Swimming, Gave her bath after returning from Swimming (surprisingly head bath for the first time!!!), Prepared Yummy Lunch (Chicken kuruma + Okra Fry + Rice + Papad + Cucumber Salad). What a supportive husband !! I am so lucky . I am thankful to GOD for giving me such a wonderful husband. I love you so much dear !!!

 After having the wonderful lunch with the family, I thought of relaxing for some time. My little princess, came to the room with a big plate and Wished me Happy Mother's day Amma !!! She told 'I love you so much' with tight kiss. I was surprised to see the handmade Mould by Rismi. It was very cute and I really amazed that, my little girl grown up this much to make such a wonderful gift for Mommy. I was speechless. What an imagination & creativity at this age !!!

All in all it was a wonderful Mother's Day and I am so thankful & honored to be the mother of  amazing daughter. I couldn't imagine my life without the role of motherhood. Thank you to my family for a Happy Mother's Day!

I want to wish all of my mommy friends, a very Happy Mother's Day! Most of all I want to tell my own mother how honored I am to be her daughter and thank you for teaching me how to be the best mother I can be to Rismi. I love you so much and am so proud to have you as my mother! Happy Mother's Day!

Parul's 5th Birthday Celebration

Today we celebrated sweet Parul's (Alise Chinchu) 5th Birthday! We had a super fun birthday party. Rismi's great friend, sweet Parul, turned 5! Rismi and Parul have been buddies since Rismi was just 2 year old. They have been in school together for the past 2 years and Rismi will be starting LKG and Parul will be starting UKG together this upcoming Fall! Parul had her birthday party at Mantri Paradise - Multipurpose hall... Rismi loved the party, putting tattoo and enjoyed the Magic Show.

The day was beautiful... Rismi had a blast playing with all of her friends while Shafi and I had just as much fun chatting with our friends! Happy 5th Birthday Parul ! We love you sweet girl :) 

Turning 4 is a BIG deal!!

My Rismi is 4... It's so hard to believe that it was four years ago today that we were blessed with our precious baby girl, Rismi. When did this happen?! How does time fly by so fast?!  Look at the below pictures of my sweetheart ..  She has grown up so much lately and has quickly changed from a baby to a talkative little girl. What a drastic change !!!

To me, birthdays are the best. It is one day a year where you can be completely selfish and do everything you want to because it is your day. I want Rismi to love her birthday as much as I do, so we spent today doing things that she loves. When she woke up, she got her birthday present from Mommy and Daddy: a Bicycle! It was such a hit! She loves cycling, and had a quick test drive at home :) . so this is perfect.

I prepared one of her favourite sweet, suji kesari for the breakfast, It came out very well and she liked it very much. Rismi told us a week back itself that , I want to celebrate my B'day in Pizza corner  which is next to our apartment as she had been there many times, for her Friend's birthdays.  So as per the Birthday girl's order :) , we have arranged a dinner cum birthday celebration (7 - 9 PM) at Pizza Corner. Rismi was SO excited for her party and knew every detail. Below is the birthday girl ready for her guests to arrive.

 Pizza corner has the Children's Play Area which is the major hit of the B'day celebration as all the kids were there in the Ball Pit, playing all the time. Rismi is very excited to play with her friends in the play area

We have arranged a Musical Chair game for the kids before moving to cake cutting ceremony . All kids participated with full josh and each one has to perform/tell Rhymes/Story/Dance when they move out from the game and the prizes have been distributed  for the Winner and Runner . The winner is Rishab and the runner is Reshmi. Few drops of Musical chair event is captured below.
